Swarovski AT Endura: The Ultimate Spotting Scope for Alaskan Hunting

Swarovski’s newest product for 2026, the AT Endura 21-65×75 spotting scope, replaces the long-standing ATS/STS line of entry-level premium spotting scopes.

Modern Design Enhancements for Alaskan Hunting

Upon unboxing, the AT Endura reveals a sleek, modern chassis featuring a new rubber armoring texture and a lighter green color compared to previous models. The Swarovski emblem is now elegantly engraved on the foot rotation ring, replacing the traditional stamped pin on the body. Minor cosmetic changes can be observed in the eyepiece, alongside a longer, straight profile for the objective lens barrel.

Key Differences in Spotting Scope Functionality

The transition from the ATS/STS line to the Endura introduces several noteworthy changes. Unlike the previous “S” line, which offered both angled and straight eyepiece configurations, the AT Endura is exclusively an angled configuration. This may disappoint those who prefer straight configurations.

The Endura is designed as a fixed-body, one-piece spotting scope. The 21-65×75 model is the sole offering, with no options for changing magnification ranges or incorporating a wide-angle lens. This design choice enhances reliability, addressing common issues seen with removable eyepiece attachment points in previous models, such as water and dust ingress.

With a 75mm objective lens, the Endura strikes a balance between length, weight, and optical performance. In comparative tests, the Endura exhibited superior brightness compared to the ATS 65 HD and slightly less than the ATS 80 HD, aligning with expectations.

Notably, the Endura lacks an extendable sunshade, which may not impact users who rarely utilize this feature. Additionally, the foot adjustment ring for eyepiece angle lacks detents, allowing for free rotation. While this design choice may not be detrimental, it can be less intuitive for returning the eyepiece to a centered position.

Optical Performance and Clarity

The AT Endura maintains the high-quality, HD glass synonymous with Swarovski products. The 75mm objective lens offers brightness that surpasses the previous 65 HD model while being slightly less than the 80 HD. Overall clarity and color contrast remain consistent with previous models, providing an exceptional viewing experience, albeit with similar levels of fuzziness at maximum magnification.

While the glass quality is commendable, it does not quite match the superior Swarovision glass found in the top-tier X system models.

Pricing and Value Proposition

The AT Endura is priced at $2899, representing a compelling value in the premium spotting scope market. In comparison, the ATS 80 HD with a 20-60 eyepiece previously retailed for $3998—approximately $1100 more than the Endura, with only marginally improved brightness.
