Recipe Ingredients for Cedar Plank Salmon
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 fish fillet
- Cabela’s Open Season Salmon/Trout Seasoning
Preparation Directions:
1. Presoak the cedar plank for approximately 1-2 hours to enhance the smoky flavor.
2. Cut the orange and lemon into slices for added zest.
3. Arrange the citrus slices on the presoaked plank. Place the fish fillet, skin side down, atop the citrus slices. Generously coat the fillet with Cabela’s Open Season Salmon/Trout Seasoning for optimal flavor.
4. Grill the plank for 15-30 minutes. The plank will produce smoke and may catch fire, which is a normal part of the process. Use a spray bottle to extinguish any flames, reduce the heat, and continue cooking. Utilize a thermometer to ensure the fish is thoroughly cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 145°F.
